Science: Reading and Writing That is Out of This World
Stars and planets are all around us. There is even a possibility of alien life forms. Students will explore the wonders of space, create their own alien, stars and the planets. They will explore how the planet Earth fits into the universe.

Technology: Power Packed Electricity
Kids will get a charge out of these activities. Students will make a power pack and use their power packs to conduct electrical conductivity tests to evaluate which materials are conductors or non conductors. Then students will create a simple circuit and a flashlight.

Engineering:What is Rocket Science?
Rocket Science 101 will have students constructing and exploring various rocket types, paper rockets, and rocket racers. Students will experiment with the ways of increasing height and distance by evaluating and changing designs.

Mathematics: Great Games
Students put their creative juices to work and come up with their own themed board game. Students will brainstorm and create a prototype of a game board. This will require shape design, measurement and creativity. This design can then finalized into their own game board creation.

Reading: Trace and evaluate the argument and specific claims in a text, assessing whether the reasoning is sound and the evidence is relevant and sufficient to support the claims.

Mathematics: Reason abstractly and quantitatively. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.
